environmental stewardship
So yesterday was Patriot’s Day or as Bostonians know it, Marathon Monday. Pop Quiz: Other than Massachusetts, what other 2 states celebrate Patriot’s Day??
Anyway, today is Earth Day. I didn’t know this until I opened my Gmail today and saw the Google icon covered with a tree, grass and nature. do your part…
About a year ago, I was having tea at Starbucks with some friends and as we were leaving, one of them asked if she could collect our cups and lids which were made of plastic. When I asked why, she told me that Starbucks didn’t recycle them and that she would. That’s when it first dawned on me that I should take more responsibility to take better care of mother earth and reduce my carbon footprint. Today, our family is becoming more and more committed to recycling, and I’m shocked at how much paper, plastic, aluminum and glass we use as a family of 4. We’ve even taken some small steps at church to do our duty and recycle.
